Introduction This project is designed to test the lung capacity of various age groups. It is important for doctors to know how much air each person needs in order to live. I hope to learn of older or younger people have a greater lung capacity. Problem How does the age of a person affect their lung capacity? Hypothesis Eighteen to twenty-five year-olds have the greatest lung capacity. Variables Manipulated variable - age of person Responding variable - lung capacity Constants - apparatus used to test, method of testing, number of times tested, method of breathing Materials
